The New England Chapter of Meeting Professional International (MPINE) will be having the 23rd Annual New England Meetings Industry Conference & Exposition on April 5-7 in Boston MA at the Seaport Hotel and Seaport World Trade Center. This conference brings together Meeting Professionals and Suppliers dynamic tradeshow and groundbreaking sessions with a new “re-invented” look. MPINE will also be collaborating with the Greater Boston Food Bank to host “Cooking and Connecting” Community Service Event to jump starts the conference on Sunday April 5th. This event will provide attendees the opportunity to network and also give back to the community. After the community event, they will be having Club NEMICE, an evening social event from 8-11pm featuring high energy music and the opportunity to shake what your mama gave ya! Monday April 6th will start the educational sessions of the conference from topic like, Don’t Wait for the Phone to Ring: Vendoring in a Challenging Economy, to Marketing in web 2.0 World. Other topics include:

-Planning Metrics for successful meetings

-Leadership in the changing world of the meeting

They also feature CMP prep course offerings at the conference. The CMP is a certified meeting professional certification, which is allows meeting planners to gain accreditation in the event industry. Attending conferences are extremely essential for continuing education regardless of career level.  The topics will be relevant to the economic challenges and allow professionals to brainstorm and get ideas from one another. I had the pleasure of attending a few conferences, and I truly enjoy networking with my peers, and learning more about the event industry. Our industry is ever changing. Make it a necessity to attend conferences for your personal and professional development.  If you can’t attend all entire conference, there are daily rates available.
